Forget Bank Visits! SBI to Launch Super App With AI-Powered Features!

India’s largest public sector bank, State Bank of India (SBI), is all set to launch a next-gen digital platform called ‘Only Yono’ in FY26, aiming to completely transform user experience. The upgraded app will offer hyper-personalized journeys, biometric login, and multilingual support to cater to a wider customer base.

Among key features , SBI is introducing paperless account opening via video KYC for sole proprietors, expanding digital Kisan Credit Card access in five more states, and launching facial recognition in kiosk banking.

SBI will also roll out an AI-powered marketing platform that sends behaviour-based messages via SMS, WhatsApp, and email by October 2025. A real-time analytics system (Data Lakehouse) is also in development.

From enhanced trade finance modules to auto-flip kiosks, SBI is stepping up to match the digital pace of private players-bringing smarter banking to the masses.
