Nawazuddin Siddiqui, celebrated for his compelling performances, continues to captivate audiences with his diverse roles. As of April 2025, several of his films have garnered critical acclaim and audience appreciation, highlighting his versatility and depth as an actor.

One of his most anticipated projects is 'Costao', a biographical crime drama set to premiere on ZEE5 on May 1, 2025. Directed by Sejal Shah, the film portrays the true story of Costao Fernandes, a Goa customs officer who dismantled a major gold smuggling operation in the 1990s. Siddiqui's portrayal of Fernandes is expected to be a standout performance, adding to his repertoire of complex characters.

In 'Rautu Ka Raaz' (2024), Siddiqui took on the role of Inspector Deepak Singh Negi, a PTSD-afflicted officer investigating a mysterious death in a remote village. The film, released on ZEE5, received positive reviews for its atmospheric storytelling and Siddiqui's nuanced performance.

His role as Saadat Hasan Manto in the 2018 biographical drama 'Manto' remains one of his most lauded performances. The film, directed by Nandita Das, delves into the life of the controversial writer, with Siddiqui's portrayal earning him the Best Actor award at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards.

In the 2020 Netflix release 'Raat Akeli Hai', Siddiqui played Inspector Jatil Yadav, a small-town cop investigating a high-profile murder. The film was praised for its gripping narrative and Siddiqui's compelling performance.

Siddiqui ventured into the supernatural genre with 'Adbhut' (2024), a horror film directed by Sabbir Khan. Premiered directly on Sony Max, the film showcased his ability to adapt to diverse genres, with critics noting his strong screen presence.

In 'Tiku Weds Sheru' (2023), a satirical romantic comedy-drama, Siddiqui starred alongside Avneet Kaur. The film, produced by Kangana Ranaut and released on Amazon Prime Video, highlighted his versatility in lighter roles.
