Sohum Shah’s Crazxy starts like a bullet fired from a gun- fast, tense, and full of promise. But as the minutes tick by, the film struggles to keep its momentum, losing steam just when it should be tightening its grip.
With Shah carrying the entire story while other actors exist only as voices on the phone, the weight of the narrative becomes too much for a single performance to bear.
Dr. Abhimanyu Sood, a surgeon on his way to a crucial meeting, gets a phone call that flips his world upside down. A loved one is in grave danger, and only he can stop the disaster from unfolding.
Trapped behind the wheel, he races through the city, juggling urgent calls- his furious ex-wife (Nimisha Sajayan), his concerned current partner (Shilpa Shukla), his impatient boss (Piyush Mishra), and a teacher (Tinnu Anand) who sees his daughter for who she truly is.
But who really is Abhimanyu Sood? A careless father? A reckless doctor haunted by past mistakes? Or a man who, when the stakes are life and death, can finally prove his worth? The film teases these questions, offering glimpses of redemption, but as the tension builds, cracks begin to show.
The suspense fizzles, weighed down by implausible twists, clunky CGI, and the challenge of keeping the thrill alive with just one man on screen. Crazxy had all the ingredients for a gripping ride, but in the end, it just can’t keep up the pace.
