India’s First Glyphosate-Free A2 Ghee Sets Benchmark!

Two Brothers Organic Farms in Pune has achieved a first-of-its-kind food safety milestone in India by earning an independent glyphosate residue-free certification for its A2 cultured ghee, making it the country’s first product of its kind to receive this recognition. The certification, granted by a recognised international third-party testing body, confirms through rigorous laboratory analysis that the final consumable ghee contains no detectable glyphosate residues, addressing a growing public concern about chemical herbicide contamination in the food chain. Glyphosate, a widely used herbicide in global agriculture, can enter soil, water and animal feed and, over time, accumulate in dairy products if residues persist in the ecosystem. This step therefore marks a significant leap for food safety and transparency, especially given ghee’s daily use in Indian kitchens and its cultural and nutritional importance.

Founded by brothers Satyajit and Ajinkya Hange, the farm has built its brand on regenerative farming, organic practices and traceability, focusing on holistic food integrity rather than merely conventional “organic by practice” claims. The glyphosate-free certification not only boosts consumer confidence but also pushes the narrative toward evidence-based food standards in India’s organic sector. Traditional dairy products like ghee, prized for their richness and digestive benefits, now face higher expectations for chemical-free purity — and this certification may encourage more brands to pursue similarly stringent testing.

By blending science-verified safety with traditional methods, Two Brothers Organic Farms is helping elevate the benchmark for quality in India’s rapidly evolving natural food market.
