What began as a spiritual journey to the Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj turned chaotic for many devotees in Bihar. At the Madhubani railway station, frustration boiled over when passengers were unable to board the already-packed Swatantrata Senani Express.
Eyewitnesses reported that the train's AC coaches were filled, preventing doors from opening. The situation escalated as more devotees gathered, eager to reach Prayagraj. In a shocking turn, some resorted to pelting stones at the train, shattering windows and causing panic among those inside.
Social media footage captured the mayhem, showing broken windows and heated confrontations between passengers and those outside. The vandalism didn't stop there; the train was targeted again between Madhubani and Darbhanga, with windows damaged across multiple coaches. At Samastipur station, crowds even climbed through broken windows to force their way into AC compartments.
The incident has drawn sharp criticism, with many calling for stricter law enforcement. Railway officials detained some involved in the chaos. Unfortunately, this isn't an isolated event, as a similar attack occurred on a train heading to Prayagraj in Madhya Pradesh.
