As preparations for Republic Day celebrations intensify, Gautam Buddh Nagar Police has announced extensive traffic arrangements to manage the flow of vehicles. To ensure seamless movement during parade rehearsals, the entry of goods vehicles from Gautam Buddh Nagar into Delhi will be restricted.
Key entry points, including Kalindi, DND, and Chilla borders, will witness heightened traffic police deployment. Civil police will assist at New Ashok Nagar, Jhundpura, and Haridarshan to manage diversions. Vehicles approaching Delhi from Noida’s borders will be redirected to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
Diversions and Alternate Routes
- DND Border: Goods vehicles must take a U-turn at the toll plaza, proceeding via the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
- Chilla Red Light Border: Vehicles will follow a similar U-turn route towards the expressway.
- Kalindi Kunj Yamuna Border: Vehicles will be diverted at the underpass trisection before the Yamuna River.
- Yamuna Expressway: Traffic will be redirected from Zero Point to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
Security and Parking Restrictions
The Traffic Police's Quick Response Teams will ensure roads remain clear of parked vehicles. Temporary parking will be allowed only along Chilla-Shani Mandir Road, Pusta Road Sector 94, and Sector 44 service road. Additionally, parking at key DMRC metro stations, such as Botanical Garden and City Center, will be closed during the rehearsals.
Delhi Traffic Police issued a separate advisory for Republic Day parade rehearsals at Kartavya Path. Commuters are urged to plan ahead to avoid disruptions.
