Commuters using the Dwarka Expressway face major disruptions as the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has closed the entry ramp from the elevated service road at Daulatabad Chowk towards Delhi. The 44-day closure, lasting until April 30, is for expansion joint replacement after a January accident caused structural damage.
With barriers placed at the connecting flyover, travelers from Sectors 99-106 and nearby areas must now use the surface road, leading to increased congestion especially during peak hours.
NHAI data reveals the expressway handles nearly one lakh PCUs daily, and the closure is expected to cause significant delays. Though NHAI assures minimal impact on overall traffic, commuters worry about longer travel times and bottlenecks.
As part of the Rs 9,000-crore project, the expressway's completion is targeted for August 2025. Until then, Gurgaon residents must brace for frustrating commutes and extended detours.
