The Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway has banned two-wheelers after a terrible accident killed four people. The high-speed road, meant to make travel faster and smoother, has now raised safety concerns for bikers.
The accident happened when a speeding vehicle lost control and crashed into motorcyclists. After this tragic incident, authorities decided to stop motorcycles, bicycles, and other slow-moving vehicles from using the expressway to prevent further accidents.
Officials say the ban will make the road safer, but not everyone agrees. Many daily commuters who used their bikes on this route now have to find other ways to travel.
Some people believe that instead of banning bikes, the government should focus on strict speed limits, better road safety rules, and separate lanes for two-wheelers.
Road safety experts suggest that expressways should be designed for all types of vehicles, not just cars and trucks. They believe better rules and awareness programs could help reduce accidents instead of stopping bikes completely.
For now, the ban is in place to protect lives. But the big question remains, will this really solve the problem, or will bikers continue to suffer from unfair restrictions? Only time will tell.
