The State Cabinet on Wednesday gave its approval for the borrowing of Rs 17,000 crore from two financial institutions in a bid to strengthen network of agriculture solar pumps across the state.
The state will be market borrowing Rs 8,109 crore from Asian Development Bank (ADB) for Maharashtra power distribution enhancement programme for facilitating solarisation and expanding agricultural connections.
