July arrives with a blockbuster lineup on Netflix, featuring high-profile sequels, coveted finales, and promising new content. Leading the charge is The Old Guard 2, released July 2, which reunites Charlize Theron and Uma Thurman as immortal warriors confronting a deeper ancient threat. The streaming giant continues to invest in nostalgia with Happy Gilmore 2, premiering July 25, with Adam Sandler reprising his role nearly 30 years later.
Anticipation builds as The Sandman concludes its saga in three parts—Volume 1 on July 3, Volume 2 on July 24, and a special finale episode on July 31. Viewers can also enjoy Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Destination Wedding, a return to comedic roots, and delve into global originals like Aap Jaisa Koi (Indian romantic drama), Brick (German sci‑fi thriller), and Ziam (Thai action‑zombie feature).
The documentary series Trainwreck: Balloon Boy drops alongside other true‑crime content, while the competition-style All the Sharks invites shark experts into a thrilling quest. Fans of crime dramas can look forward to Untamed, a murder mystery set in Yosemite starring Eric Bana and Sam Neill, premiering July 17. Rounding out the month, Too Much, a Lena Dunham rom-com set in London, debuts July 10.
