NTA announces JEE (Main) 2026 will be held in two sessions!

The NTA has officially released the schedule for JEE (Main) 2026: the exam will be conducted in two sessions, with Session 1 slated for January 21-30, 2026, and Session 2 for April 1-10, 2026. Registration for the January session opens around October 25, 2025, and for the April session in late January 2026.

This two-session format gives aspirants a second chance within the same year to improve their scores and better their chances of admission into engineering programmes. The exam will continue in computer-based test (CBT) mode and covers courses such as B.E./B.Tech., B.Arch and B.Planning.

Applicants are urged to ensure that their documents - including Aadhaar details - are accurate and up to date, since any mismatch could cause delays or rejection. With the official dates now out, students should plan their preparation schedule accordingly and keep an eye on the official NTA website for further updates.
