Aiming to simplify the overwhelming maze of college admissions, Appli — launched in early 2025 — offers students and parents a unified platform that recommends courses and colleges based on a student’s academic profile, interests, skills, and financial constraints. The idea was born from firsthand frustration with hidden middlemen and opaque admission processes. Appli charges just a nominal fee per application, making it accessible even for students from modest backgrounds, including those from tier-2 and tier-3 towns.

Upon downloading the app, users fill in their education status, marks, interests and preferences. The platform then matches them with courses and institutions, while sharing comprehensive college data — including curriculum, fees, hostel/transport costs, and accreditation status. Appli has already partnered with colleges across several districts in Karnataka and beyond, and in eight months has drawn about 1.3 lakh registrations.

The startup, run by a small team, emphasizes transparency, fairness, and outreach, especially for under-represented students. By offering a low-cost, data-driven alternative, Appli is working to bridge educational divide — giving every student a shot at informed, unbiased, and affordable higher education choices.
