Sissu is a small and beautiful village in Lahaul Valley, Himachal Pradesh. Thanks to the Atal Tunnel, it is now easy to reach, just 40 km from Manali on the Manali-Leh highway.
Sissu is a great place to visit if you love mountains, quiet nature, and local culture.
In summer (from mid-March to July), the weather is sunny and pleasant, with temperatures between 15°C and 25°C. The green fields come alive with farming, especially potatoes and cauliflower, and the whole valley looks fresh and colorful.
You can go on short hikes to places like the Sissu Waterfall or enjoy longer treks to Ghepan Lake and Shitidhar Glacier. It’s also a nice spot for camping, cycling, and watching the stars at night.
If you like peaceful places, you can visit old monasteries like Tayul and Kardang to learn more about local life and spirituality.
Sissu is full of charm, with big glaciers, riverside views, and friendly villages. It's a perfect place for nature lovers, adventure seekers, or anyone who wants a quiet break in the Himalayas.
