India’s very own Indri whisky has made history by becoming the largest-selling single malt in India and the fastest-growing globally for the second consecutive year. Selling over 2.04 million bottles in 2024, the brand is leaving both domestic and international competitors behind.
According to the International Wine & Spirits Record (IWSR), Indri leads the market with 1,24,000 cases sold in India and 46,000 overseas, a remarkable achievement for a homegrown label. The brand’s secret? A distinct flavor profile shaped by local barley and Indian terroir, giving it a taste that rivals the world’s best while staying authentically Indian.
Indri’s portfolio includes premium expressions like Indri-Trini (three-wood matured), Indri-Dru (cask strength), Indri Diwali Collector’s Editions, and Indri Founder’s Reserve 11YO, which have won numerous global awards, including “Best in the World” titles.
Praveen Malviya, CEO of Piccadily Agro Industries, said, “Selling 2.04 million bottles isn’t just a number; it’s proof that our whisky can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the world’s best.”
From Karnal to the world, Indri is proving that India can not only compete but lead in the global whisky market.
