During the discussion, Singh made a bold statement, saying, "When you talk to a woman it lands in an argument all the time, so don’t discuss with them." He went on to assert traditional roles within a household, adding, "Ghar ka head mard hota hai aur mard nahi toh maa".

While denying the non-possibility of a wife being the head of the household, Singh cited Indira Gandhi as an example and remarked, "Aap ek aurat ko ghar chalane ko bol do woh uska satyanash maardegi". He concluded his response with the statement, "Never give a power to a woman."
