In a chilling incident from Alwar, Rajasthan, a 9-year-old boy became the sole eyewitness to the murder of his father, Veeru Jatav, allegedly plotted by his own mother, Anita, and her lover, Kashiram Prajapat. The murder took place on the night of June 7, when Veeru, who ran a tent business, was attacked and killed near his home.

According to police, Kashiram, a street vendor, along with hired accomplices, carried out the killing while the child watched in horror. The plan was reportedly hatched by Anita and Kashiram, who were in a relationship. The motive appears to be personal, with investigators citing a long-standing affair and a desire to eliminate Veeru from the picture.

Authorities arrested both Anita and Kashiram after interrogation and have launched a deeper probe to trace the hired attackers. The boy, now under care, is said to be traumatised but safe.

The case has left the community shocked and grieving, raising concerns about rising domestic violence and betrayal within families.
