Amazon has introduced a new feature that allows Alexa to generate complete AI-powered podcast episodes on almost any topic within minutes. Instead of searching for podcasts online, users can simply ask Alexa to create one instantly based on their interests.
The process is simple - users give Alexa a topic, and the AI gathers information, creates a structure, and generates a podcast using realistic AI-generated voices. Users can even customise the episode’s tone, length, and focus before the final audio is created.
The feature can generate podcasts on topics like travel, sports, history, career advice, hobbies, music, and trending news. The episodes can then be played directly through Alexa-enabled devices and apps.
The launch shows how AI assistants are evolving beyond simple voice commands and becoming full-fledged content creation tools. Instead of only answering questions or setting alarms, AI assistants are now capable of producing personalised entertainment and information instantly.
However, the update is also raising questions about the future of traditional creators, originality, and whether AI-generated podcasts will always provide reliable and accurate information.
Still, the feature highlights how quickly AI is changing digital content consumption - where users may soon create personalised podcasts as easily as asking a question.
