Renowned sitar virtuoso Rishab Rikhiram Sharma, celebrated as the youngest and last disciple of the legendary Pandit Ravi Shankar, has unveiled plans for an extensive 10-city tour across India.
This groundbreaking series, titled "HSBC presents Sitar For Mental Health," is orchestrated by Team Innovation and District by Zomato. The tour aims to bridge the rich traditions of Indian classical music with contemporary wellness practices, offering audiences an immersive, multi-sensory experience.
The tour is scheduled to commence on April 6, 2025, in New Delhi, and will traverse major cities including Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Indore, Chandigarh, and culminate in Kolkata on May 18, 2025. Each performance is designed to resonate with audiences of all ages, blending traditional ragas with modern musical elements to explore the profound connection between music and mental well-being.
Tickets for this landmark tour will be available for pre-sale to HSBC Credit Card holders starting February 14, 2025, at 4 PM via the District app by Zomato.
General ticket sales will commence on February 16, 2025, at 4 PM, with prices starting from ₹1,499. This initiative reflects a growing trend among younger audiences who are increasingly drawn to the transformative power of classical music, recognizing its emotional depth and resonance.
Rishab Rikhiram Sharma, hailing from the esteemed Rikhi Ram family of musical instrument makers, began his musical journey at the age of ten.
