The revered Char Dham Yatra 2025 is set to commence on April 29, attracting thousands of devotees seeking spiritual solace in the Himalayas. This sacred pilgrimage covers four revered temples—Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath—believed to purify the soul and bring divine blessings.
Registration and Token System
Registration for the Yatra opens on March 2, 2025, available both online and offline. The state tourism department has introduced a dedicated app for hassle-free registration, and special rituals like Rudrabhishek require prior booking. A token system will be implemented for darshan, ensuring a smooth spiritual experience.
The Divine Route
1. Yamunotri – The journey begins at Yamunotri Temple in Uttarkashi, requiring a 6 km trek from Janki Chatti. Dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, the temple is a beacon of devotion.
2. Gangotri – The second stop is Gangotri Temple, at 3,048 meters above sea level, honoring the sacred River Ganga.
3. Kedarnath – One of the 12 Jyotirlingas, Kedarnath Temple sits at 3,584 meters, surrounded by breathtaking Himalayan peaks.
4. Badrinath – The final destination, Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, houses a 3.3-meter idol of Badrinarayan.
