College fashion dreams vs. Laundry day reality!

Before college starts, everyone has a vision: flowing skirts, tote bags, crisp shirts, or perfectly layered streetwear. OOTDs (Outfits of the Day) are planned, mood boards are made, and Pinterest is your personal stylist. But reality? It often looks more like yesterday’s t-shirt, hostel chappals, and a hoodie that hasn’t seen detergent in weeks.
College life throws a curveball - 8 a.m. lectures, laundry backlogs, and food spills you didn’t see coming. "I thought I’d serve looks; instead, I serve attendance in pajamas", jokes one student. Even fashionistas confess that comfort quietly wins over couture by the second semester.
That said, there's still creativity. Scarves double as belts, kurtas get re-worn as dresses, and everyone knows how to hide a bad hair day under a cool cap. The gap between expectation and reality becomes its own fashion statement - chaotic, authentic, and completely Gen Z.
Campus style isn’t about runway-ready outfits - it's about identity, comfort, and the quiet rebellion of not caring when you really don't have to.
