Kashish Methwani from Pune has proved that dreams have no limits. At just 24, she has worn many hats – supermodel, scientist, and now a commissioned officer in the Indian Army. Kashish won the Miss International India title in 2023 and completed her MSc in Neuroscience. She also secured an All India Rank of 2 in the CDS 2024 exam and trained at the Officers Training Academy, Chennai.
On September 6, she was commissioned as Lieutenant in the Army Air Defence (AAD), a combat arm that requires technical expertise and courage. Kashish is also a national-level pistol shooter, basketball player, tabla player, and Bharatanatyam dancer. She even got selected for a PhD at Harvard University but chose to serve the nation instead.
Her family, with no army background, proudly supported her journey. Kashish credits the National Cadet Corps (NCC) for instilling discipline, leadership, and confidence in her. Her story is a reminder that one can excel in multiple fields and still serve the country with pride.
