Eid-ul-Fitr 2025 was celebrated across India on March 31, following the sighting of the Shawwal crescent moon on March 30. In Delhi, Naib Imam Shaban Bukhari of Jama Masjid confirmed the moon sighting, extending heartfelt Eid Mubarak wishes to the community.
In Mumbai, the Markazi Ruyate Hilal Committee announced the moon's sighting, leading to statewide celebrations.
The festival marked the end of Ramadan, with Muslims gathering for communal prayers, sharing festive meals, and exchanging gifts. Traditional dishes like biryani and sheer khurma were prepared, and children received Eidi, cash gifts from elders.
Despite facing challenges, the spirit of unity and generosity prevailed, with communities coming together to support one another and uphold the essence of Eid.
