The NIRF 2025 rankings have reaffirmed India’s premier management institutions, with IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, and IIM Kozhikode securing the top three spots. Other IIMs, including Lucknow, Calcutta, Indore, and Mumbai, dominate the top 10, alongside MDI Gurgaon and XLRI Jamshedpur.

Significantly, several Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) have also earned recognition for their growing role in management education. IIT Kharagpur ranked 12th, followed by IIT Madras and IIT Bombay at 13th and 14th respectively. IIT Roorkee also made the list, securing the 22nd position. Their inclusion reflects the institutes’ expanding reputation beyond engineering, with strong faculty, modern infrastructure, and competitive placements strengthening their MBA offerings.

For aspirants, these results highlight an evolving landscape where IITs stand as serious contenders to traditional IIMs and private business schools.
