India–Bangladesh white-ball series deferred to September 2026!

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have mutually agreed to defer the white-ball series between India and Bangladesh, originally slated for August 2025, pushing it to September 2026. The tour comprises three ODIs and three T20Is.

Set to kick off on August 17, the series was postponed owing to "international cricketing commitments and scheduling convenience" raised during bilateral discussions. This delay follows a period of heightened diplomatic tension between India and Bangladesh, though both boards emphasized the decision was a joint effort focused on practical logistics .

The BCCI stated the BCB “looks forward to welcoming India in September 2026” and promised revised dates and fixtures will be announced in due course . Fans awaiting the tour will now have to wait another year, while both teams adjust their international schedules accordingly.
