During hot summer days, nothing beats the refreshing delight of ice cream. But, with the rise of counterfeit products, it's important to ensure that what you're eating is genuine. Many markets now sell fake ice cream, commonly known as frozen desserts, which can be harmful to your health.
To differentiate between real and fake ice cream, start by reading the ingredients. Authentic ice cream contains dairy, while fake versions often include vegetable or palm oil, artificial colors, and chemicals.
Taste is another clue - real ice cream has a smooth, creamy texture with natural sweetness, whereas fake ice cream is often harder, with an artificial flavor.
You can also test the melting behavior. Genuine ice cream melts slowly, turning creamy, while fake ones dissolve quickly into water-like consistency due to oil content. Lastly, check for any oily or watery stains when placing it on tissue paper.
Stay informed, and enjoy your summer treats safely!
