Malayalam actor Dileep Sankar was found dead in a hotel room in Thiruvananthapuram on December 29. According to The New Indian Express, police have registered a case and are investigating the incident. Reports reveal that Dileep had checked into the hotel four days prior.

Hotel staff reported that he hadn’t been seen for two days, raising concerns. On Sunday, they noticed a foul odor emanating from his room and decided to check inside, where they discovered him unresponsive. Police were notified immediately, and a forensic team was dispatched to examine the scene. A senior officer confirmed that there were no initial signs of foul play, but the exact cause of death will be determined after a post-mortem examination.

Friends and colleagues of Dileep had tried to contact him in the days leading up to his death but were unable to reach him. Some even visited the hotel to check on him but could not meet him before his passing.

Actress Seema G Nair paid a moving tribute to Dileep on social media, expressing her grief and shock over his untimely demise. Reflecting on a recent phone call she missed from him, she shared her deep regret and sorrow.

Dileep’s final social media activity occurred six days ago, where he promoted his upcoming movie, Pravinkoodu Shappu, scheduled for release on January 16, 2025.
