Karnataka's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President, B.Y. Vijayendra, has criticized the recent resolution passed by the state assembly opposing the Union government's proposed Waqf (Amendment) Bill. He alleges that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's administration "forcefully passed" the resolution to shield alleged land grabbers.

Vijayendra asserts that while Prime Minister Narendra Modi aims to bring transparency to Waqf affairs, the state government seeks to protect those involved in land misappropriations. He claims that Congress leaders are implicated in these land scams and vows that the BJP will expose these issues to the public.

Additionally, Vijayendra criticizes the state's decision to reintroduce a 4% reservation for Muslims in government contracts, labeling it as "appeasement politics." He contends that this move overlooks deserving individuals from the Hindu community and contributes to deteriorating law and order. The BJP plans to organize protests addressing both the Waqf amendment opposition and the minority reservation policy.
