A gruesome murder in Bengaluru's Hulimavu area shocked residents after the body of 32-year-old Gouri Anil Sambrekar was found stuffed inside a trolley bag in her rented apartment's washroom. Hours after the discovery, her husband, Rakesh Rajendra Khedekar, was detained in Mumbai on suspicion of killing her.

Khedekar, a project manager, reportedly called the Maharashtra Police and the house owner, informing them about the body before fleeing Bengaluru on March 25. Initial police suspicions of suicide changed when forensic teams discovered a stab wound on the victim's body.

The couple, married for two years, had recently moved into the apartment in February. While the motive remains unknown, forensic experts are examining evidence, and an autopsy is underway. The victim's family has been notified as investigations continue into the disturbing crime.
