In the semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, Australia scored 264 runs in 50 overs against India at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. India’s bowlers, led by Mohammed Shami, did a fantastic job in stopping Australia from scoring more runs.

Australia started their innings carefully, but India's bowlers kept them under pressure. Steve Smith played a solid knock of 73 runs, while Alex Carey scored a valuable 60.

However, Carey's innings ended dramatically when Shreyas Iyer pulled off a brilliant run-out. Carey tried to take a second run, but Iyer's direct hit from long-on caught him way short of the crease.

Shami was the best bowler for India, taking 3 wickets for just 48 runs. Hardik Pandya also played a crucial role, bowling well and fielding sharply. His efforts, along with other bowlers, ensured that Australia couldn’t score freely.

The pitch in Dubai had something for both fast bowlers and spinners. India's bowlers used the conditions well, mixing pace and spin to keep the Australian batsmen in check.

Even though Australia had some good partnerships, they couldn't accelerate in the final overs due to India’s tight bowling and sharp fielding.

Now, India needs 265 runs to win and reach the final. With a strong batting lineup, they will look to chase the target under the floodlights.

Fans around the world are excited for the second innings, expecting an intense battle between bat and ball in this high-stakes game.
