Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently met beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana at his residence. During the interaction, he emphasized that the scheme was not launched for personal praise, but to empower the youth and help them become self-reliant.

In a light-hearted moment, when a beneficiary hesitated to disclose his income, PM Modi joked, Don't worry, the Finance Minister is sitting beside me. I'll make sure the Income Tax Department doesn't come for you,” sparking laughter among attendees.

One of the beneficiaries, Lavkush Mehra from Bhopal, shared his inspiring journey from being a worker to a business owner with an annual turnover exceeding ₹50 lakh. He began his venture in 2021 with a ₹5 lakh loan, which has now increased to ₹9.5 lakh.

Over the past 10 years, the Mudra Yojana has sanctioned 50 crore loans, with 68% of recipients being women. The scheme continues to fuel India's entrepreneurial spirit.
