This viral DIY mask claims to erase wrinkles overnight- Does it really work?

A viral claim suggests that a homemade mask made of cornstarch, coffee, honey, and baking soda can completely erase wrinkles, making 60-year-old women look 30. Sounds too good to be true, right?

While these ingredients do have some skin benefits, there is no scientific proof that they can completely eliminate wrinkles. Coffee is rich in antioxidants and can help improve skin texture.

Honey has moisturizing properties that keep the skin hydrated. Cornstarch may give a temporary tightening effect, and baking soda can exfoliate. However, these effects are temporary and do not reverse aging.

Dermatologists emphasize that wrinkles form due to aging, loss of collagen, sun exposure, and lifestyle factors. No DIY mask can magically erase them overnight. While skincare routines with the right ingredients like retinol, vitamin C, and hyaluronic acid can help reduce fine lines over time, a mix of kitchen ingredients cannot replace medically proven treatments.

It's crucial to be wary of viral beauty hacks that promise unrealistic results. Instead of relying on internet myths, focus on proper skincare, sun protection, hydration, and a healthy lifestyle to maintain youthful skin.

So, before you rush to your kitchen to mix up a miracle mask, remember if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is!
