The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rain and thunderstorm alert for Delhi, predicting strong winds of 40–50 kmph, gusting up to 60 kmph, over the next 2–3 hours.
This follows Sunday’s intense weather, which saw heavy rain and strong gusts across the NCR, leading to the diversion of 14 Delhi-bound flights. An IndiGo flight was even forced to abort landing due to winds touching 80 kmph.
Earlier today, Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 22.6°C, 4.3 degrees below the seasonal average. The maximum is expected to touch 37°C. Humidity at 8:30 am stood at 67%, and the air quality was reported as "moderate" with an AQI of 165.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan is also on alert, with a fresh western disturbance expected to bring rains and thunderstorms to the state from June 2 to 4, especially in the afternoons.
Stay tuned for real-time weather updates.
