After two decades in Bollywood, Soha Ali Khan is stepping into uncharted territory with Chhorii 2, playing an antagonist for the first time. The horror thriller, directed by Vishal Furia, presents Soha in a sinister and eerie role, far removed from her previous dignified and girl-next-door characters.

Speaking about her transformation, Soha admits it was both exciting and challenging. “It's completely out of my comfort zone, physically and emotionally,” she shared. Her 7-year-old daughter, Inaaya, was particularly curious about whether her character finds redemption.

Interestingly, the intense look for her role disrupted family life. She avoided video calls with her daughter before bedtime and even her husband, Kunal Kemmu, kept his distance, jokingly telling her to talk to him “after two months.”

Chhorii 2, a sequel to the 2021 hit horror film, releases on Amazon Prime Video on April 11, bringing back Nushrratt Bharuccha in the lead.
