The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched an 11-day nationwide campaign called the 'Tiranga Yatra' starting May 13, to honour India's armed forces and celebrate the success of ‘Operation Sindoor’.
This yatra will run until May 23 and will take place in many cities and towns across the country.
The yatra began at 4 p.m. on Tuesday and aims to promote national pride, unity, and respect for the Indian Army.
The BJP wants to bring people together from different regions and communities, encouraging a strong sense of patriotism and love for the country's national flag – the Tricolour.
Top BJP leaders like Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, and JP Nadda have planned this campaign carefully. Leaders such as Sambit Patra, Vinod Tawde, and Tarun Chugh are managing it at the national level.
The yatra will include bike rallies, flag-hoisting events, public gatherings, and programs that highlight the bravery of soldiers.
BJP has made it clear that this is not a political campaign, but a tribute to the valour of the armed forces and an effort to inspire unity and patriotism among people.
