Delhi University’s student politics just took a detour-from debating halls to dairy farms.
Rishabh Chaudhary, an ABVP-backed DUSU candidate, decided that manifestos and microphones weren’t dramatic enough. So, naturally, he hurled cow dung into the office of sitting DUSU President Ronak Khatri (NSUI).
Because what says "youth leadership" better than flying manure? The political poopstorm has since gone viral, with students divided between shock, laughter, and confusion. Some say it was a symbolic protest.
Others say Rishabh simply misunderstood the term "dirty politics." Ronak Khatri called the act “undemocratic and disgraceful,” while ABVP remained suspiciously silent-perhaps drafting a cow-based counter-narrative.
Meanwhile, Delhi University students are left wondering: Is this the student union or a village fair gone rogue? With DUSU elections around the corner, candidates were expected to talk about issues like campus infrastructure, mental health, or placements.
Instead, we’re knee-deep in actual dung. The only winners here? The cows. Finally, they’ve been given a front-row seat in the great Indian political theatre.
