FASTag Annual Pass launched: 200 free highway trips for just ₹3,000!

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has launched the FASTag Annual Pass, effective from August 15, 2025, for private vehicles like cars, jeeps, and vans. With this pass, users can enjoy 200 toll-free trips or one year of unlimited highway travel on National Highways and Expressways - whichever comes first.

The pass is linked to the existing FASTag of a vehicle, making it non-transferable. Unlike regular FASTag recharges, users don’t need to top up repeatedly, making it especially beneficial for daily commuters.

To activate, users must pay ₹3,000 via the Rajmargyatra app or NHAI website. Once verified, the pass gets activated within two hours.

Importantly, this annual pass is not mandatory. Those who don’t opt for it can continue using FASTag normally by paying per trip charges. However, the scheme does not apply to State Highways or locally managed toll plazas, where the regular FASTag rates will still be applicable.

With rising traffic and toll costs, this scheme could save frequent travelers time and money while ensuring smoother highway journeys.
