Fiverr CEO Micha Kaufman recently warned his team that artificial intelligence (AI) will soon replace many human jobs possibly even his own.
In an internal email, he stated, "AI is coming for your jobs. Heck, it's coming for my job too," and stressed that this is a global shift, not just limited to Fiverr.
Kaufman listed eight roles most at risk: programmers, designers, product managers, data scientists, lawyers, customer support, salespeople, and finance professionals.
He explained that AI is automating simple tasks and making complex ones easier, which could make many jobs obsolete within months.
Instead of panicking, Kaufman encouraged his team to learn AI tools specific to their jobs, such as Cursor for coding or Intercom Fin for support. He also urged them to become skilled in using large language models and improve their productivity using AI.
He strongly believes that companies should focus on getting more done with current staff through AI, rather than hiring more people. According to Kaufman, adapting to AI is no longer optional, it's the key to staying relevant in the modern job market.
