Handcuffed and Chained? Shocking Claims by Deported Indian Immigrants!

In a major deportation drive, the United States has sent back a third batch of Indian immigrants, with a US aircraft carrying 112 deportees landing at Shri Guru Ram Dass International Airport in Amritsar on Sunday. This follows another deportation flight just a day earlier, carrying 117 Indians. Most deportees are from Haryana and Punjab, with others from Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir.

However, a significant controversy has erupted over the alleged inhumane treatment of deportees. Several individuals from the flights claimed that they were handcuffed and had their legs chained throughout the journey, a claim that has led to widespread public and political outcry. The first batch of deportees, who arrived on February 5, also made similar allegations, stating that they were unshackled only upon landing in India.

The allegations have sparked outrage, with opposition leaders demanding Prime Minister Narendra Modi take up the issue with the US government. Following the backlash, New Delhi officially conveyed its concerns to Washington, seeking clarification over the treatment of Indian deportees.

Among those deported, two individuals from Rajpura, Patiala, were arrested upon arrival due to their alleged involvement in a murder case. The deportations highlight the increasing crackdown on illegal immigration in the US and the harsh conditions faced by those being sent back.

As diplomatic discussions continue, the incident raises serious questions about the treatment of immigrants and the ethical implications of their deportation process.
