The internet erupted with mixed reactions—some applauded his achievement, while others questioned the hype around GATE and whether an M.Tech degree is even worth it. One user dismissed celebrations, saying increased attention to such feats would only fuel more competition.

Another remarked that serious IIT students often treat GATE as an easy challenge.

The debate comes as IIT Roorkee officially announced the GATE 2025 results on March 19, with exams held in February.
