Stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra finds himself under government scrutiny after his satire on Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde sparked political outrage. Maharashtra's MoS for Home, Yogesh Kadam, announced an investigation into Kamra's call records and financial transactions, alleging a possible “mastermind” behind him.

The controversy erupted after Kamra performed at The Habitat Comedy Club in Mumbai, referring to Shinde as a “gaddar” (traitor). Shiv Sena workers vandalized the venue, leading to 11 arrests. While ruling alliance leaders, including CM Devendra Fadnavis, demanded an apology for the "low-level comedy," opposition leaders, including Uddhav Thackeray, defended Kamra's freedom of speech.

Shiv Sena leader Rahool Kanal warned, “This was just a trailer, picture abhi baaki hai.” With tensions escalating, Kamra's case has become a flashpoint between political factions in Maharashtra.
