Fans of Mahesh Babu were left furious during the 4K re-release of Khaleja on May 30, after noticing key scenes and songs were missing from the cult film. Viral videos showed angry fans halting screenings and confronting theatre staff. The missing “Sunday Monday” song and iconic dialogues sparked outrage, with fans accusing the makers of poor planning.
Some fans even smashed glass panes in protest, while others flooded social media with complaints. In response, exhibitors clarified that the film was screened with the content provided by VPF providers, urging fans not to create disruption.
After widespread backlash, the team behind the film announced, “EVERYTHING SORTED,” assuring fans that missing scenes were restored. However, reports persisted that morning shows still lacked some content.
Khaleja, which flopped upon release in 2010, has since become a cult classic, making the flawed re-release a major disappointment for fans.
