Men Fall in Love Faster Than Women, Says Global StudyLove doesn't follow a fixed timeline, but science says men are quicker to fall. A new study published in Biology of Sex Differences reveals that men fall in love significantly faster than women.
Researchers at the Australian National University studied 808 young adults across 33 countries and found that men take just over four weeks to develop strong romantic feelings, while women take nearly two months.
The study also shows that men fall in love more frequently, averaging 2.6 times in a lifetime compared to women’s 2.3. However, women report deeper intensity, stronger commitment, and more obsessive thoughts when they do fall in love.
Experts suggest this may be due to evolutionary differences - men are biologically wired to pursue more mating opportunities, while women prioritize deeper emotional connections. While love is a personal journey, this research gives fresh insight into how emotions unfold differently for men and women in romantic relationships.
