In a resurfaced podcast from January 2025, comedian Samay Raina addressed concerns about young audiences accessing his adult-oriented content. Responding to health influencer Revant Himatsingka, Raina questioned the expectation for him to alter his behavior, stating, "Do you think a person like me has a responsibility to not drink Coke and to not be myself?"
Raina emphasized that if children as young as eight are watching his content, it signifies a failure on the part of parents. He shared, "When I was that age, my father would beat me if I watched television. I didn’t watch television then… I really think he did a great job as a father."
This discussion follows the controversy surrounding Raina's YouTube show, India's Got Latent, which was removed from his channel after backlash over inappropriate content. Raina has since pledged full cooperation with authorities and announced a series of international shows, signaling a new chapter in his career.
Raina's comments have ignited a broader conversation about the roles of content creators and parents in regulating children's media consumption in the digital age.
