In an inspiring and heartwarming gesture, students from Turtuk Valley School in Ladakh have reached out to former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni with a special request.
In a video shared on Instagram, the students, expressing their admiration for Dhoni, invited him to visit their school. One student, wearing a Chennai Super Kings (CSK) jersey, says, "Namaste Dhoni Bhai, hum sab Turtuk se hain, hume aapse milna hai.
Hum aapka bohot bada fan hai aur aap humse milne Turtuk aiyega humare mai school mai aapko invite karte hai," which translates to, "Hello Dhoni brother, we are all from Turtuk and wish to meet you. We are big fans and invite you to visit our school in Turtuk."
The video, which has caught the attention of Dhoni’s fans, is captioned, "Dear @mahi7781, your biggest little fans from Turtuk Valley School have a special request come visit us in Leh and teach us your legendary helicopter shot!
Tag Mahi Bhai in comments #DhoniInTurtuk #HelicopterShotDream." This heartfelt appeal from the students has quickly gone viral, with fans hoping Dhoni will take the time to meet his young admirers in Turtuk.
Although Dhoni retired from international cricket in 2020, he continues to play for CSK in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Ahead of the 2025 IPL auction, CSK retained Dhoni for ₹4 crore, and he is expected to play a pivotal role as both a player and a mentor in the upcoming season.
This isn’t Dhoni’s first connection with Ladakh-he visited the region in 2019 to celebrate India’s 73rd Independence Day, where he received a warm reception from the Army and interacted with the locals.
Fans eagerly await Dhoni's response to the students’ invitation, with many hoping he will make the journey to Turtuk
