A Pakistani spy has been arrested near the India-Pakistan border in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The suspect, 40-year-old Pathan Khan, was allegedly working for Pakistan's intelligence agency, ISI, and was caught capturing photos and videos of sensitive army camps in Mohangarh village.
Security agencies had been tracking Pathan Khan for months. Once they gathered strong evidence of his espionage activities, he was immediately arrested. Reports suggest he frequently visited military zones and sent confidential information to Pakistan.
Originally from Karmo ki Dhani Chandan, Jaisalmer, Khan has several relatives in Pakistan. In 2019, he traveled there and stayed for an extended period. Investigators believe he was recruited by ISI during this visit and started spying after returning to India.
Authorities seized his mobile phone, discovering apps used for sending secret data. A forensic team is recovering deleted files, which could expose more spies.
Security forces are on high alert, closely monitoring people traveling to Pakistan. Officials suspect this arrest could lead to a bigger espionage network operating in the region.
