PM Modi to inaugrate Dwarka Expressway! NCR travel revolution begins.

In a landmark move towards transforming urban mobility, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated two critical infrastructure projects today: the Dwarka Expressway (Delhi section) and the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II), together valued at nearly ₹11,000 crore.

  • UER-II, spanning approximately 75.7 km, acts as Delhi’s “third ring road.” It begins at Alipur (NH-44) and arcs through Rohini, Mundka, Bakkarwala, Najafgarh, and Dwarka before connecting to NH-48 near Mahipalpur, enabling seamless access across western Delhi and the NCR.
  • The Dwarka Expressway, stretching around 29 km and built with advanced engineering, now connects Delhi to Gurugram and the IGI Airport more directly especially through an eight-lane corridor with high-speed, access-controlled features.

These new corridors are expected to significantly ease congestion on the Inner and Outer Ring Roads and at critical junctions such as Mukarba Chowk, Dhaula Kuan, and NH-9. The infrastructure boost promises dramatic reductions in travel time, lower vehicular pollution, and improved connectivity across Delhi and NCR, marking a key milestone in the capital’s urban development.
