Startup of the Day: House of EM5

House of EM5, an Indian fragrance brand, has revolutionized the perfume industry by combining luxury with affordability. Founded in 2019 and relaunched in 2022 after a pandemic-induced hiatus, the brand has quickly become a household name for eco-conscious and health-conscious consumers.

With over 150 fragrances across seven product categories, including perfumes, solid fragrances, and scented candles, House of EM5 has made high-quality scents accessible to all.

The brand's journey began with a mission to break the notion that luxury fragrances are unaffordable. By offering products free from sulfates, silicones, and parabens, and ensuring they are cruelty-free and non-carcinogenic, House of EM5 has set new standards for quality and sustainability.

Its scented candles, crafted with essential oils and lead-free wicks, are among the top 10 bestsellers on platforms like Amazon.

House of EM5's rapid growth is remarkable. Within six months of its relaunch, it achieved ₹60 lakh in monthly sales and continues to grow at an impressive rate of 25-40% monthly.

The brand's innovative marketing strategies include experiential campaigns at airports and partnerships with quick-commerce platforms like Zepto and Blinkit.

Recently featured on Shark Tank India, House of EM5 secured ₹1 crore in funding from Aman Gupta, further fueling its expansion plans. With a focus on research and development, the brand aims to introduce proprietary blends while continuing to cater to diverse tastes. House of EM5 is not just a fragrance brand but a movement redefining indulgence for modern India.
