War on Two Countries? Israel Strikes Lebanon Amid Gaza Conflict!

Israel launched a series of retaliatory airstrikes on southern Lebanon, killing seven people and injuring 40, after rockets were fired at the Israeli town of Metula. The attack marked the most intense escalation since a ceasefire was brokered four months ago.

While Israel targeted Hezbollah-linked sites, the militant group denied involvement, calling Israel's response an act of “continued aggression.” The Lebanese government has called for restraint, urging the UN to intervene and prevent further hostilities.

Tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border have been simmering, with Israeli forces maintaining a presence in key locations despite ceasefire agreements. The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) has urged both sides to de-escalate, warning that the situation remains fragile.

With Israel also resuming its offensive in Gaza, fears of a broader regional conflict are growing, putting Lebanon on high alert for further escalation.
