Why did Rohit Sharma took a break during India's match against Pakistan?

India and Pakistan were locked in a fierce battle at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium during the ICC Champions Trophy, with the heat and intensity making things even more gripping.

Pakistan's middle order took their time in this must-win match, while India's senior players, including captain Rohit Sharma, were spotted taking brief breaks to recharge.

Rohit, who had been seen stretching his legs earlier, walked off the field in the 15th over, sparking rumors of an injury. But fans were soon relieved when he returned, ready to resume his leadership duties.

In his brief absence, Shubman Gill stepped up as stand-in captain, marking a first in his career after being handed the vice-captaincy role ahead of the Champions Trophy.

The oppressive heat in Dubai, with the temperature soaring to 32°C and 41% humidity, likely played a big role in this unusual on-field break. But it wasn't just Rohit who needed a breather.

Mohammad Shami seemed to be struggling early on, leaving the field after just three overs for treatment before returning to bowl. Even pacer Harshit Rana took a quick break after his initial burst, and Virat Kohli, never one to shy away from a moment of indulgence, was spotted snacking on a chocolate bar near the bench, giving fans a glimpse of his off-field routine.

India had the upper hand early in the match, taking quick wickets of Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq.

However, Pakistan fought back with a solid partnership between Mohammad Rizwan and Saud Shakeel, taking the score to 165-5 before India's bowlers turned up the pressure and broke the partnership.
