Bharti Airtel has launched a groundbreaking service in partnership with Blinkit, enabling customers in Chennai to receive new SIM cards at their doorstep within just 10 minutes. This first-of-its-kind initiative is available in 16 cities and aims to expand to more towns soon.

The service is priced at a convenience fee of ₹49. After receiving the SIM, customers can complete activation through a simple Aadhaar-based KYC process. According to Siddharth Sharma, CEO – Connected Homes and Director of Marketing at Airtel, the move reflects Airtel’s commitment to enhancing customer convenience and digital accessibility.

Customers are required to activate the SIM within 15 days of delivery to ensure a smooth transition. This initiative marks a major leap in telecom service delivery, combining speed, ease, and innovation, and sets the stage for future collaborations in the quick commerce space.
